According to reports Marly Edouard, 32, had contacted police on February 19th at approximately 12:40pm to report alleged death threats against her.  Police officers from the Laval Police Department reportedly went to the scene and met the woman, and then left shortly after.

Police said the body of Marly Edouard was discovered in the parking lot of a condo building on rue des Châteaux, in the Chomedey neighborhood by a neighbor at approximately 6:30am on February 21st. According to rezonodwes.com, Edouard had been shot in the head and a firearm was found nearby.

Marly Edouard immigrated to Canada in 2016 and founded an artist promotion agency called Symbiose509. According to haitistandard.com Edouard was the former host at Radio Soleil, RFM as well as “Planèt Kreyòl”.

No arrests have been made at this time.
