RCMP were contacted by hospital staff on March 15th, 2018, the day after Heather Barker, 37, was taken to hospital from her home on Cordon Place with serious injuries.  RCMP Const. Kelly Brett said. “She was later then taken off life support, and she died as a result of her injuries.”

On January 25th, 2020, police announced that they arrested 43-year-old Shaun Ross Wiebe, on January 22nd, 2021, and charged him with manslaughter and assault causing bodily harm as a result of a previous incident that occurred in February of 2018.

RCMP said no further information will be released.
