Waywayseecappo Detachment of the Manitoba First Nation Police Service received a report of a missing 30-year-old male from the community on January 20th at 6:00pm.

Police said William Ernest Shingoose was last seen at his residence on the evening of January 17. He was last seen wearing red clothing and white shoes.

On January 27th Manitoba First Nation Police Service responded to the report of an unresponsive male at a home. On arrival police located William Shingoose who was pronounced deceased on scene. The cause of death has not been released however his death is being investigated as a homicide.
