London Homicide #2 – Police investigating a home invasion that ended in a fatal shooting

London police responded to the report of suspicious individuals entering a residence at 232 Pochard Lane on June 21st at approximately 4:45am.

Police arrived at the scene to find a man whose neighbors have identified as the homeowner deceased of a gunshot wound.

Witnesses reported seeing four men fleeing the scene in two vehicles. Police said the investigation is still in it’s early stages. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Update June 23
London Police have confirmed the victim, 44-year-old Bill Chamber Horrace, is the same individual that media outlets have been reporting as a former member of the National Patriotic Front of Liberia. Police said Horrace’s former association with this group is not the primary focus of the investigation.

According to reports Bill Chamber Horrace was a former General in the National Patriotic Front of Liberia, working for Charles Taylor, the country’s former president, and a convicted war criminal. National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL) was a rebel group that was involved in the First Liberian Civil War from 1989 to 1996.

Update June 26th
London Police Service has issued a warrant for the arrest of Keiron Gregory, 22, of North York, Ontario, in connection with the home invasion and homicide of Bill Chamber Horrace. Gregory is wanted for one count of Second Degree Murder. His whereabouts are unknown however it is believed he may be in the Greater Toronto Area. 

Police said Mr. Gregory may be armed. If seen, citizens are advised not to approach him and to contact 911 immediately.

Update July 8th
London police have charged Toronto Police officer Trevor P. Gregory, 46, of North York, with Breach of Trust in relation to the investigation into the murder of Bill Horrace on June 21, 2020.  Trevor P Gregory is the father of the homicide suspect, Keiron Gregory who still remains at large. Police said Trevor Gregory was arrested in Toronto by London Police Service on July 7, 2020 and released pending a court appearance in London, September 29, 2020.

Update July 10th
London Police Service Major Crime Section have charged Tianna Almeida, 22, and Tera Amoatemah, 22, both of North York, with Being an Accessory After the Fact to the Offence of Assault with a Weapon in relation to the murder of Bill Horrace.

Update July 16th
Investigators located Keiron Gregory in North Bay, and arrested him on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Two other individuals were arrested and released unconditionally.
