RCMP responded to the report of a man down in the 600 block of Main St, Lillooet in the evening of March 17th.

Statlimx Tribal Police along with Lillooet RCMP arrived to find a man  suffering from serious injuries and already being treated by BC Ambulance. The victim was rushed to Lillooet hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. RCMP said his identity will not be released at this time.

Constable Andrew Hodges of the Lillooet RCMP said in a press release, “So far this investigation leads us to believe this was an isolated incident with no elevated risk to the public. The RCMP would like to extend their thoughts to the victim’s family, and friends.”
