The 2025 Ontario Homicide Victim List is available here

On the morning of March 2, 2025, Cobourg Police responded to a residence on James Street where they found a deceased person.

The OPP was called for assistance just before 10:00am, and Kenneth Trolley, a 41-year-old man from Cobourg, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.

Police have not released the identity of the victim or cause of death.

The investigation is being led by the Cobourg Police, with support from the OPP Forensic Identification Services and the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, alongside the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
