Gatineau police responded to a call of an unresponsive baby on May 29th . The 7 month old baby was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The Mother of the baby, Katrina Leigh Hazlett, 28, has been charged with one count of criminal negligence causing death.

Gatineau police said the autopsy revealed “no trace of violence” on the infants body, however the autopsy revealed other information that will help the investigation. The cause of death has not been released at this time.
