Edmonton police responded to reports of a suspicious person at a home on September 2nd. Once inside the home police found 93 year old Joao and his wife 81 year old Maria Nascimento dead. The two were victims of a stabbing.

Edward Kyle Roberts 31, was arrested at the scene. Police believe the suspect was intoxicated and the attack was random.
