Sturgeon Falls police  responded to a report of gunshots at home on Leblanc Road on August 26th.

Police arrived at the home and found 35-year-old Jaime Boyd from Sturgeon Falls deceased, and a 59-year-old injured woman. The female victim remains in stable condition.

Police had an interaction with a 46-year old man at the scene. The man fled police into a wooded area, and was later found dead of a gunshot wound in the nearby wooded area.
