Langley homicide victim identified as Arshdeep Singh

Langley RCMP responded to the 5300-block of 207 Street for a shooting on January 26th at approximately 11:38pm.

Police arrived to find a 22-year-old man deceased inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds and the second man in his early twenties, suffering from gunshot wounds The second victim was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.

Sergeant Frank Jang of IHIT said “This has all the hallmarks of a targeted hit. The victim was known to police and his murder may have ties to the drug trade. It is not yet clear if this incident is linked to any of the other recent acts of violence.”

Surrey RCMP then received a report of a burning vehicle in the area of 180 Street and 19A Avenue at approximately 11:52pm. Police are investigating if there is a connection between the two. On February 3rd Sergeant Frank Jang identified the victim as 22-year-old Arshdeep Singh.
