Abbotsford Police responded to reports of a man being assaulted and taken away in a vehicle in the 2900-block of Victoria Street on January 27, 2025, at 1:52 a.m.

Three hours later, the 19-year-old victim was found in Surrey’s Crescent Beach area with severe injuries and taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, on February 1, 2025, he died from his injuries, prompting the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) to take over the case.

IHIT said it appears to be a targeted incident with no ongoing risk to the public.. Anyone with information can contact the IHIT Information Line.
