Toronto Police said a man in his 20s was found with life-threatening injuries on Bloor Street West, near Madison Avenue, early this morning. The incident occurred at approximately 12:36 AM on January 26th, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Upon arrival, first responders located the male victim, who was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Darapheakdey “Daral” Sovann.

Toronto Police have confirmed that they are now treating the incident as a homicide investigation. Investigators are searching for three people who were involved in the incident.
Update: On February 1st Toronto police announced that Brooklynn Walsh, 24, of Oshawa, has been arrested and charged with:
- Second Degree Murder
She was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 10 a.m., in room 106.
Cameron Brown, 21, of Oshawa, has been arrested and charged with:
- Second Degree Murder
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10 a.m., in room 106.
This is Toronto’s 1st Homicide of 2025.
