The 2024 Vaughan Ontario Homicide Victim List is available here

York Regional Police responded to a report of an injured female with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of Vaughan Mills mall on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m.

On arrival police located Alisseaha Golar-Kotlar, 21, suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Two men have been charged in relation to the incident. Courtney-Ashton BROOKS, 23, of Brampton has been charged with First-Degree Murder. Donte Morris TAYLOR, 22, of Brampton has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder.

The relationship between the two accused and the victim has not yet been confirmed, but are believed to be known to each other.

Investigators believe the incident is targeted and there is no threat to public safety. There are no outstanding suspects or vehicles.
