The 2023 Hamilton Homicide Victim List is available here

Hamilton police announced on December 11th at 6:06 pm that they are investigating the homicide of a man.

The victim was fatally shot in the area of Nebo Rd and Hempstead Drive on Hamilton Mountain. Police said the homicide happened outside Satellite Tires on 100 Nebo Rd. where the victim was working. 

Update: The victim has been identified as Spencer Laffin, 33.

Shortly after 5 p.m., Beck said, police received multiple calls for a shooting in the area and responded, finding Laffin dead outside 70 Nebo Rd., across from the tire shop. 

Police are looking for a suspect, who is described as a male, slim build, six-foot-tall and Black, who they said was wearing a blue surgical mask, and fled the scene in a dark coloured four-door SUV. Hamilton police believe at least two suspects, the shooter and getaway driver, were involved.
