Derrick Eugene Munroe & Timothy James Jefferies Charged – Halifax Police Investigate Homicide After  70-year-old Brian David Johnson Found Critically Injured

Halifax police were alerted of an injured man at a residence on Richmond Street on October 29th at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Emergency crews, including police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Brian David Johnson of Halifax.

An autopsy conducted by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service confirmed that Johnson’s death was a homicide.

On Nov. 4 at 8:12 p.m., Derrick Eugene Munroe, 56, was arrested for the murder of Brian David Johnson and charged with second-degree murder.

On Nov. 6 at approximately 3 p.m., Timothy James Jefferies, 57, was arrested for the murder of Brian David Johnson, and charged with second degree murder.
