Ghislain Nsengiyumva charged with second-degree murder in the death of Jeff Twain of North Bay

North Bay Police responded to the city’s Jane Street area where they located a person in need of medical assistance on January 1st at approximately 2:30am.

29-year-old Jeff Twain of North Bay located and rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries later that day.

Ghislain Nsengiyumva was arrested on January 2nd, and charged with second-degree murder, uttering threats to cause death, assault with a weapon, and two counts of assault.

Police said the investigation revealed that the accused was at a social gathering on Gormanville Road when a verbal argument led to the assault of two women at the location. Nsengiyumva left the gathering and walked to Jane Street where he had a verbal exchange with a man before injuring the victim with what police believe was an edged weapon.
