The 2026 Toronto Homicide Victim List is available here

Toronto Police responded to a shooting at the bus terminal beside Yorkdale Shopping Mall in North York at around 7 p.m on January 4th.

On arrival, police and paramedics located a male victim with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced at the scene. The victim has been identified as Osemwengie Irorere, 46, of Nigeria.

Det. Sgt. Jason Davis, of the Homicide and Missing Persons Unit, said officers arrested a male suspect shortly after and recovered a firearm.

Tyrel Gibson, 40, of Toronto, has been charged with First Degree Murder.
