Farhan Durrani charged with the murder of Hammad Shaikh in Mississauga

Peel police responded to a report of a shooting in a park area near Brass Winds Place in the City of Mississauga, on December 30th at approximately 11:00am.

On arrival police located 42-year-old Hammad Shaikh, suffering from a gunshot wound. Shaikh died of his injuries at the scene.

Shortly after the homicide, police located and arrested Farhan Durrani, a 34-year-old man from Mississauga. Durrani has since been charged with first-degree murder. Police said the victim and the accused were known to each other.
