The 2023 Edmonton homicide victim list is available here

Edmonton police responded to the report of a critically injured male in the lobby of an apartment building in the area of 97 Street and 109 Avenue on April 8, 2023, at approximately 5:30am.

Police arrived to find 35-year-old Gabriel Dumont deceased. The Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Dumont and determined his cause of death to be a gunshot injury and the manner of death to be a homicide.

On January 26th, 2024 Investigators released photos of an adult male suspect who was captured on security video in the area. Detectives are hopeful someone may recognize the male and call police.

Update: On Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, Joshua Adam Raymond, 31 was arrested in Sherwood Park by EPS officers and Alberta Sheriffs. He is charged with first-degree murder in relation to the Apr. 8, 2023 homicide of 35-year-old Gabriel Dumont.
