Edmonton police investigating a hit-and-run as a homicide

Edmonton police responded to a report of a hit-and-run between a vehicle and a male on 107 Avenue between 101 and 102 Street on June 25th.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a 31-year-old  Rajan Baraich, 31, suffering from serious injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on June 26th. Police said the death is suspicious and doesn’t appear to be random.

Homicide Section has since taken over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.
