Edmonton police responded to a call for assistance from EMS for an alleged single-vehicle collision near 118 Avenue and 37 Street on September 19th at approximately 4:35am.
Police arrived at the scene to find a male victim deceased, with wounds not consistent with a collision.
Police have not released the name of the victim or cause of death. Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
Update September 21
The Edmonton Medical Examiner has confirmed that 50 year old Spiros Jerry Tziklas died of a stab wound. Homicide detectives continue to investigate.
