Update: Three arrested and charged – Edmonton police investigate the homicide of Curtis Vidal

Edmonton police responded to the report of an injured male at a residence in the area of Erasmus Wynd and Erasmus Crescent on April 12th, at apprximately 9:13pm.

On arrival police located Curtis Vidal, 41, deceased in a front attached garage at that location. An autopsy was completed and revealed the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds.

According to theprogress.com Vidal is alleged to have had connections to the Hells Angels in the Lower Mainland. The murder of his brother James Vidal, in 2019 remains unsolved.

EPS said in a press release “Police would also like to speak to anyone who may have observed the below vehicle, believed to be a silver 2015 Subaru Outback, in the area of Erasmus Wynd or in the area of 4 Avenue and 39 Street between Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 13, at 4:30 a.m.”

Update April 28th
Edmonton polce have arrested and charged three people in relation to the murder of Curtis Vidal.

Ricardo Gomez-Jimenez, 27, was charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm while committing an offence, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of stolen property over $5000 and breach of condition of a release order (x2).

Colin Penner, 27, was charged with first degree murder, possession of stolen property over $5000 and arson.

Jyostna Reddy, 24, was charged with accessory to murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Police said they are not looking for any other suspects.
