Edmonton police identify Jordin Aksidan as the 27th homicide victim of 2017

Edmonton police responded to a call for assistance in the area of 119 Avenue and 34 Street just after 5am on July 5th.

On arrival police located the victim, later identified as 21 year old Jordin Amber Aksidan, suffering from serious injuries. Aksidan was rushed to hospital where she died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Edmonton police have arrested 4 people in relation to the murder of Jordin Aksidan.

Travis Serson, 26,was arrested on April 05, 2019 at the Calgary Correctional Centre and charged with conspiracy to commit criminal offense, manslaughter while using a firearm, use of a firearm in commission of an offense and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Michelle Mercredi, 25, was arrested on March 28, 2019, by Edmonton police at the Institute for Women. Mercredi was charged with conspiracy to commit criminal offense and manslaughter while using a firearm.
Thaiye Patenaude, 19, was arrested on January 16, 2019 in Edmonton and charged with manslaughter while using a firearm.
Sean Quewezance, 25, was arrested on December 10, 2018 in Edmonton and charged with manslaughter while using a firearm.
