Edmonton police were called to the report of a shooting in the area of 81 Avenue and 104 Street on October 3rd at approximately 2:18am.
Police arrived to find Tanraj Deogen, 24, on the street suffering from gunshot injuries. Despite life saving efforts, the victim was pronounced at the scene.
A suspect vehicle was observed fleeing the scene, and was located by police at a multi-unit residence in the area of 9 Avenue and 156 Street. Three people at the residence have since been taken into custody.
Anyone with cell phone photos or video, or anyone with a dash camera who was in the area of 81 Avenue and 104 Street from 2 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, is asked to please contact the EPS at 780-423-4567
Update May 31st, 2023
A Canada-wide warrant has now been issued for Dylan Furaha-Inkindi, 25, who is wanted for Deogen’s murder. He may be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Police are also seeking the public’s assistance to identify a second male who may be a witness in this investigation. He is pictured below, and was wearing a distinctive jacket.

Update June 8th
Dylan Furaha-Inkindi, 25, was arrested after he turned himself in to police on June 7th. He is charged with second-degree murder. Police are still asking for the public’s help in identifying the man in the jacket.
