Death of a 46-year-old man in South Indian Lake deemed a homicide

South Indian Lake RCMP received multiple reports of an injured male in the community on February 8th at approximately 2:30am.

Police attended the nursing station where the injured man was taken. Police said the 46-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased at the nursing station, and his death is being treated as a homicide.

Update: A 21-year-old man from South Indian Lake has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the homicide.

South Indian Lake RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
