The 2025 BC Homicide Victim List is available here

On Monday, April 14, 2025, RCMP in Dawson Creek discovered human remains, prompting a suspicious death investigation that has since been upgraded to a homicide. The case is now being led by the E Division Major Crime Section.

Police have identified the victim as 24-year-old Emily Ogden, who was reported missing from Fort St. John on March 29. In hopes of advancing the case, authorities are asking anyone who may have seen or heard from Emily between her disappearance and the discovery of her body to come forward.

According to Staff Sergeant Kris Clark of the BC RCMP, the investigation is still ongoing.
