Peel police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Vodden Street East, west of Kennedy Road in the City of Brampton on September 2, 2018, at approximately 12:43 am.

Police arrived to find Cliff Correia, 27, from Brampton, and a female victim suffering from injuries. Both victims were rushed to hospital where Correia died of his injuries.

Police then responded to second shooting that occurred on Townley Crescent in the City of Brampton on September 2 at approximately 6:30am. Derrick McKeown, 33,  from the Georgetown area was found suffering from obvious signs of trauma and was pronounced at the scene.

Police arrested Patrick Doyle, 27, on September 3rd, and charged him with two counts of second-degree murder in connection to both of the murders, and one count of attempted murder.
