Update: Christopher Garnier charged in the death of Const. Catherine Campbell

Christopher Garnier was charged September 17th with second degree murder in the death of Const. Catherine Campbell, of the Truro Police Service.

The body of 36 year old Catherine Campbell was discovered in a wooded area near an overpass that leads to the Macdonald Bridge.

Campbell was reported missing on September14th when she didn’t show up for work at the Truro Police Service.

The cause of Campbell’s death had not been made public. Christopher Calvin Garnier is also charged with indecently interfering with a dead body.

After four and a half hours of deliberations The Nova Scotia Supreme Court jury delivered their verdict. Christopher Garnier has been charged with second-degree murder and interfering with a dead body.
