Island Lake RCMP were informed about a life-threatening assault on a 28-year-old man. The victim attended the St. Theresa Point nursing station with life-threatening injuries sustained from an assault with a weapon. He was later flown to Winnipeg.

The 28-year-old victim died of his injuries on November 30th. On December 1, 2018, RCMP arrested and charged 28-year-old Cheryl Lynne Flett, from St. Theresa Point, with Manslaughter.
