Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to an apartment building located in the area of Cassidy Street and Montreal Street on August 4th at approximately 2:26 a.m on the report of an assault.

Police located 34-year-old Jordan Greene who was suffering from multiple wounds caused by an edged weapon. Greene was rushed to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

On August 5, 2024, 19-year-old Keenan Gould of Kingston was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Investigators said the victim and the accused who were attending a gathering at a mutual acquaintance’s apartment were not known to each other.
