Breton RCMP responded to the report of a sudden death at a rural location in Wetaskiwin County on November 25th.

The deceased was identified as 44-year-old Wetaskiwin County resident Janet Magnuson,44. Her cause of reath has not been released

On Dec. 16, 2022, RCMP charged a 44-year-old Wetaskiwin County resident with first-degree murder.

The 44-year-old individual has been taken before a justice of the peace and remanded in custody with his next court appearance set for Dec. 20, 2022, at Drayton Valley provincial court.
