Toronto Homicide #63 – Miganeh Idriss shot to death near a North York bar

Toronto police responded to a call for a shooting near a bar in the Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West on November 7th at approximately 1:22am.

Police arrived to find the victim in the vicinity with a gunshot wound. The victim who was identified as 20 -year-old Miganeh Idriss was pronounced at the scene. A second victim was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police said several people were inside the bar and ask anyone who was in the area at the time, or has CCTV footage, dash-cam footage or phone footage, is urged to contact police at 416-808-7400.

Police investigating a fatal shooting in St Johns NS

St. Johns Police said they are treating the death on a 23-year-old man found outside a for-profit emergency housing shelter, November 5th as a homicide.

Police arrived to the area of Bond Street and Feaver’s Lane to find a 23-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police said a gun and a cell phone were recovered at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.

Three teens charged in the shooting death of a 15-year-old in Saskatoon

Saskatoon police responded to a report of a teenager in medical distress at a business in the 2300 block of Arlington Avenue on November 2nd at approximately 11:52am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a 15-year-old boy suffering from serious injuries. Despite lifesaving attempts, the teen was pronounced at the scene. An autopsy was completed on November 4th, and determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.

On November 5th Major Crime investigators with the assistance of the Guns and Gangs Unit, Forensic Identification, Tech Crimes, Integrated Intelligence, the Drug Unit and Patrol, conducted searched in three homes. The teens are facing second-degree murder charges in relation to the death of the 15-year-old boy.

Update: Father charged with murder – Two boys ages 9 and 12 found dead in a Brampton home

Peel Regional Police responded to a medical assist call at a home on Hiberton Crescent in the City of Brampton on November 6th at approximately 10:55pm.

Emergency crews arrived at the home to find two boys 9, and 12-years old deceased. The victim’s identities and cause of death have not been released. Const. Heather Cannon said, “The call did come from within the house and it was shortly after that is was determined that the deaths were suspicious.”

Police said the case has been determined to be an isolated incident with no threat to the community.  Police said they are trying to figure out what happened and who is responsible. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Update November 7th
The father of the two victims, Edwin Bastidas,52, was arrested on November 7th and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and will be attending the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing today.

Three charged in the homicide of a Moose Lake MB man.

RCMP responded to a report of an assault of a 37-year-old male from Moose Lake on November 1st at around 4:25am.

Police located the victim injured in a field in Moose Lake. The victim was rushed to the nursing station where he succumbed to his injuries.

RCMP arrested 26-year-old Brendan Mercredi Spence, from Moose Lake, on November 3rd and charged him with Second Degree Murder. On November 4th RCMP arrested and charged 37-year-old Clayton Mercredi, from Moose Lake, and 25-year-old Errol Mink, from Easterville, both with Second Degree Murder.

Peel police investigating the 23rd homicide of 2019 – Lorenzo Wright shot to death in Brampton

Peel police responded to multiple calls regarding shots fired in the area of Kingsview Boulevard and Brenda Avenue in the City of Brampton on November 1st at approximately 12:30am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find 18-year-old Lorenzo Wright, suffering from gunshot wounds. Wright was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police have no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at 905-453–2121, extension 3205.

Toronto Homicide #61 – Antonio Fiorda dies after being shot at an Etobicoke Plaza

Toronto police responded to reports of gunfire at 1750 The Queensway, at 12:47 p.m. on November 4th.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Antonio Fiorda, 50, of Maple ON, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Fiorda was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made and Police are looking to speak with people who heard or saw anything out of the ordinary, in the morning or early afternoon hours of Monday, November 4, 2019. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416 808-7400.

Toronto Homicide #62 – Warren Pearson shot to death in the stairwell of a building

Toronto police were called to the Eastdale Avenue/Goodwood Park Crescent area for unknown trouble on November 5th at approximately 4:45am.

Police said Warren Pearson, 21, of Toronto was found laying in a stairwell, bleeding. He was pronounced at the scene. Police believe that Pearson met someone in the building, prior to the stairwell shooting at approximately 12:45am.

Winnipeg police investigating the city’s 40th homicide of 2019 – Rig Debak Moulebou, identifies as the victim of a fatal shooting

Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a shooting at a residence located in the first 100 block of Tim Sale Drive in the city’s South Pointe Neighbourhood.

Police arrived to find Rig Debak Moulebou, 20, deceased.
