Police were called to reports of a fight at the Edmonds SkyTrain station. When they arrived they found James Enright in need of medical attention. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.
Police said Enright, 27, was in the wrong place at the wrong time when he tried to help a friend involved in an altercation Burnaby on Feb. 15.
Two people have been arrested, however neither of the suspects can be named due to a publication ban, according to IHIT.
A Vaudreuil, Que. woman has been charged with first degree murder in the death of her seven year old daughter Daniela.
SQ was called to the Vaudreuil-Dorion home on Leo-Gravelle S, February 12th. Police found Daniela suffering from a stab wound. The girl was taken to a hospital but was declared dead shortly after she arrived. Flores-Jimenez was also taken to a hospital to be treated for what police described as self-inflicted wounds. The father, was also at the scene and was treated for shock.
Claudia Beatriz Flores Jimenez received psychiatric evaluation at Montreal psychiatric hospital and was cleared as mentally able to follow her trial.
Flores Jimenez was charged with first-degree murder and will appear in court again on March 23.
A 15 year old teen has been charged with criminal negligence causing death after he allegedly pushed Christopher Chafe, 18, into the path of a school bus outside Sydney Academy on Terrace Street on Feb. 11.
A 49-year-old man with an extensive criminal record has been killed on the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver, marking the city’s second homicide of the year.
Around 4 a.m. on Wednesday Feb 11th, Lorne Melting-Tallow was found unresponsive and bleeding on the sidewalk on Hastings near Columbia Street. Melting-Tallow was taken to the hospital but later died.
VPD Constable Brian Montague says it’s unclear how long the man may have been there.
The cause of death is not being revealed.
On Tuesday, February 10th the Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy on the 24-year-old female found deceased in a downtown apartment on Monday evening. As a result of the autopsy, the Edmonton Police Service has confirmed the death to be the city’s second occurrence of homicide in 2015.
The deceased has been identified as Lena Steinhauer, 24 years of age.

Homicide Section detectives arrested Ryan Matchee on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, in Edmonton. Matchee is facing second degree murder charges.
A 25 year old man has died after he was shot early Feb 8th in north Montreal. The man was found unresponsive but alive, with bullet wounds in his car. He was transported to hospital where he later died from his injury.
The victim was known to police. No one has been arrestred so far.
Mustafa Mattan moved from Ottawa to Fort McMurray less than a month ago was shot dead in his Alberta apartment on Monday Feb 9th, his family told CBC News.
Mustafa Mattan, 28, was answering a knock at his apartment door on Monday night when someone shot through it.
“My brother, he was shot through the door before he even touched the door knob, before he even opened the door,” said his brother, Ahmed Mattan, who also lives in the Fort McMurray apartment, along with several other roommates.
“So the killer, whoever he or she might be, they didn’t even know who they were killing apart from the fact we were living in that apartment.”
Ahmed Mattan said his brother never committed a crime and never hurt anybody.
Police were called to a home on Caledonia Rd, to conduct a well-being check of the residents on February 6th.
Police say Sejad Hadzic 54, took the life of his wife, Bahrija Hadzic 53, before taking his own.
The cause of death has not been released.
