Jean-Benoît Doré was killed in his bedroom

Jean-Benoît Doré, 51, was killed in his Montreal North apartment on April 7, 2015. The family knew the alleged killer, had contacted the police about him the night before and had previously tried to get him psychiatric help.

The next day, Jean-Benoît was dead and his friend Onur Yilmaz was in custody in a hospital with self-inflicted injuries.

Vancouvers 6th homicide

A 57 year old man was found unconscious, suffering from a serious head injury in east Vancouver parking lot on April 3rd.

The man was rushed to hospital where he later died

The cause of the injury is unknown at this time, no arrests have been made.

Don Dunphy shot dead by plainclothes officer

Don Dunphy, 59, was killed by the RNC officer.  The RCMP confirmed that Dunphy was shot April 5th after he aimed a loaded .22-calibre rifle at the officer.

The plainclothes officer showed up alone in an unmarked car at Dunphy’s home. Police say the officer was investigating perceived threats against provincial politicians on Twitter.

 

Body found in burnt car deemed a homicide.

RCMP were investigating  after a body was found inside a burned vehicle on a service road just west of Stony Plain on April 3rd.

The age and identity of the person is not yet known and the cause of the fire is under investigation, RCMP said in a news release.

Richard Pereira charged in the murder of Kathryn Horne

Kathryn Horne, 58, was found dead inside a house in Brampton, when police officers responded to a disturbance call On March 29th. Horne’s body showed obvious trauma.

Richard Pereira, 36, was charged at the scene with second-degree murder.  The relationship between the victim and the suspect is still unclear.
