Murder suicide in Saint John

Officers were called to a home on Red Head Road on July 3 for a well being check. As Police entered the home, they heard a gunshot.

A 51 year old man and a 50 year old woman were found dead. Their names will not be released.

Dylan Darren DeBreau, fatally beaten in a Kitchener parking lot

On June 26 Dylan Darren DeBreau, 23, was fatally beaten in a Kitchener parking lot.  DeBreau was air lifted to Hamilton General for treatment.

The day after the incident, DeBreau was pronounced brain dead with no hope of recovery and on July 2nd, he was removed from life support.

Edward Joseph Bush, 41, was charged on July 3rd by Waterloo Regional Police for manslaughter.

Dionecio Nelson identified as Pickering’s stabbing victim

Police have identified the man who was stabbed to death on July 2nd  as 25 yearold Dionecio Nelson of Brampton.

Police said Nelson was leaving a party in a home in the early morning when he was stabbed. Investigators think this may have been a random incident.

Police are looking for two suspects in relation to the incident.

Update: Tristan Wesley, charged with the murder of his father Myles McLean

RCMP have charged a resident of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation  Tristan Wesley, 27 with murder in connection with the death of his father Myles McLean on Canada Day.

The victim’s identity has not been released, but RCMP confirm he was a 55-year-old man from the Morley First Nation.

Tristan Wesley, has Received a three-and-a-half year sentence after pleading guilty in connection with his father’s death and an attack on his sister.

Suzan Aisha Jacob fatally stabbed on Canada day

When Police arrived to her east London Apartment they found Suzan Aisha Jacob, 50, with multiple stab wounds. Jacob was taken to hospital where she died of her injuries, said police.

Juma Kuol, 49, is charged with second-degree murder.

London Police have confirmed the victim and the accused of Wednesday’s fatal stabbing were not in a domestic relationship, however they were known to each other, and considered themselves friends.

 

 

Abdiweli Abdullahi and Mohamed Abdiwal Dirie, both shot dead

Toronto police are searching for four suspects.after Abdiweli Abdullahi and Mohamed Abdiwal Dirie were killed early morning June 28th following a shooting in the Queen West area. Police say the suspects are all described as dark-skinned men in their mid-twenties

“We have some information that there were several parties going on in the building last night, but we do not know what connection the shooting might have to those parties,” said Police Det. Tam Bui .

He added investigators have “identified a number of witnesses.”

 

**UPDATE**

Kamal Hassan, 23, of Toronto turned himself in to police on Friday July 3 around 8 p.m. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

 

Kaitlan Babcock shot and died in her home

Kaitlan Babcock 27 died in her Kingston home of a gunshot wound on June 18th. At first Police thought the death was a result of a stabbing, but autopsy has confirmed Babcock dies of a bullet wound.

The suspect Craig VanAlstyne former boyfriend of Babcock died of a self inflicted gunshot wound on June 24th.

Brandon Kelly shot dead outside his home.

24 year-old Brandon Kelly was shot to death outside his Reserve Mines home June 25th.

A neighbour said a man pulled into the driveway and honked the horn.Brandon Kelly came outside and was shot numerous times in the chest.

Cape Breton Regional Police have charged Brandon James Berthiaume with first degree murder and his mother Jennifer Lynn Chisholm, has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder in the death of 24 year-old Brandon Kelly.
