Calgary police trying to locate stabbing victim’s roommate

 Calgary police were on their way to an unrelated call approximately 4:45 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd when they found a man suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds close to 135 Lynnview Rd S.E.

Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Police are looking to speak with  Eddy NAKASENH-BANDASAK, the deceased man’s roommate. Eddy has been described as 5’5” tall, with a heavy build, black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact us by calling the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.

Update September 24th
Calgary police located the suspect in the afternoon of Sept 23rd near a wooded area in the southwest community of Patterson Heights. Mounted, canine and patrol officers assisted with finding and arresting him. There was no risk to the public during this time. Police said the suspect is being interviewed by homicide detectives. No further information can be released at this time and the man’s identity cannot be confirmed unless charges are laid.

Update September 27th
Police said It is believed the stabbing was the result of an argument between the two men that escalated to violence. As a result of the investigation, Eddy NAKASENH-BANDASAK, 24, of Calgary, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with this case. The victim has been identified as Ismail CHARANEK, 26, of Calgary.
