Calgary police looking to identify 2 suspects in the homicide of Dustin Kusch

Calgary police responded to the report of a man in medical distress on the steps of a home in the 4800 block of 1 Street N.E on September 21st at approximately 3:30pm.

Emergency crews arrived to find Dustin Kusch, 35, suffering from a stab wound. EMS and the Calgary Fire Department provided medical aid but Kusch was pronounced at the scene. Police believe Kusch was stabbed at approximately 2 p.m., on Monday afternoon in the area where he was found.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of two suspects believed to have information on this incident.

Kusch was in possession of a white 2013 Hyundai Elantra, with Alberta license plate BLL-0185. The location of this vehicle is unknown at this time. Anyone with information on the identity of the men or location of the vehicle is asked to contact the Homicide Tip Line at 403-428-8877.

Update December 16th
Justin Malcolm SUTHERLAND, 33, was arrested in Edmonton on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, and charged with second-degree murder and theft of a motor vehicle.
