Third victim dies Victim Identified – Calgary police investigating a house fire that took 2 lives as a homicide

Emergency crews responded to a house fire on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 2 p.m, in the 0-100 block of Kincora Drive N.W.

Emergency crews arrived to find two people deceased and one injured woman. The woman was rushed to hospital with serious fire-related injuries.

Police have not released the identity of the victims at this time. The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service Homicide Tip Line at 403-428-8877

Update May 29th
The victim has been identified as Dorsa DEHDARI, 22, of Calgary. The second person found deceased, is believed to be the suspect, and has been identified as Heidar DEHDARI, 56, of Calgary. Heidar is the father of Dorsa.  It is believed an altercation occurred inside the home and a fire was intentionally set. 

Update September 3rd
On Sept. 2, 2019, Dorna Dehdari, 15, of Calgary, succumbed to complications due to the injuries she sustained in the fire on May 25.  Calgary police said both Dorna and Dorsa were the victims of a domestic-related homicide. Heidar Dehdari, 56, the father of both victims, is believed to be responsible for intentionally setting the fatal fire.
