The 2024 Calgary Homicide Victim List is available here

Calgary police were called to a residence in the 900 block of First Street N.W., for reports of an altercation at approximately 6:30 p.m on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Upon arrival, officers located a man inside the residence in medical distress. Despite the efforts of EMS, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries.

One man has been taken into custody for questioning related to this event. It is believed the victim and suspect are known to each other.

An autopsy was conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and at this time, the autopsy results remain undetermined for both the cause and manner of death.  The circumstances around the victim’s death are still considered suspicious and our Homicide Unit continues to investigate.
