Calgary 2023 Homicide Victim List is available here

Calgary police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of Sixth Avenue S.W., for reports of an assault on Sunday, July 23, at around 4:00pm.

Police arrived to find two women suffering from injuries, who were transported to hospital. One woman sustained minor injuries, and the other, Sol HARDER, succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

One man was taken into custody at the scene and is believed to be associated to the victims. Sol HARDER, 60, died as a result of her injuries. She is the mother of the accused. John Patrick Bon HARDER, 32, of Calgary, has been charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. He remains in custody and will next appear in court on July 25th.
