Calgary police were called to the 3800 block of Bow Trail S.W on March 14th at approximately 6:15am after a man was found in medical distress.
Police and paramedic arrived to find the injured man who succumbed to his injuries at the scene. It has been reported that the victim had responded to a break-and-enter alarm at his business at around 3:00 am He waited in the parking lot until around 6:00 am for the business to be secured when he was approached by at least three suspects.
Police said ” It is believed the three suspects were attempting to gain access into an adjoining cannabis store through the victim’s business in the 3800 block of Bow Trail S.W. “
The victim sustained fatal injuries and managed to walk to another business where Emergency crews were called.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact authorities at 403-266-1234.
Update March 16th
Calgary police said an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, revealed the identity of the victim to be 56-year-old Christophe Herblin of Calgary.
Update June 4th, 2020
Calgary police arrested an individual on June 3rd in relation to the homicide of Christophe Herblin. Police stated they can’t release the identity of the suspect until he is charged.
Update June 24th
Tommie Boris Holloway, 31, of Calgary, was arrested on Saturday, June 20, 2020, and has also been charged with second-degree murder. Police are not seeking any additional suspects in the case.
