Calgary police responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of Saddlecrest Boulevard N.E. around 7:25 p.m on January 4th. 

Emergency crews arrived to find one man deceased on scene, and another man suffering from gunshot wounds. The second victim was rushed to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

An autopsy is scheduled to be completed on January 7th to identify the victim.

Update January 9th
Calgary police have identified the victim as Gurinder Pal Singh Sekhon, 38.
The injured victim remains in hospital in serious, but stable condition.
