Black Lake RCMP received a report of an injured male at a residence in Black Lake on March 20, 2024 at approximately 8:20 p.m.

On arrival police located  52-year-old Victor Robillard from Black Lake Denesuline First Nation, suffering serious injuries. He was transported to hospital and was later declared deceased.

His death is considered suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is investigating. Anyone with information should contact 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

Update: As a result of continued investigation by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, 29-year-old Joey Stalthanee from Black Lake, SK is charged with one count, second degree murder.
