Barrie police were called to a home on Penvill Trail at approximately 6:00am on February 19th where they found a 15-year-old boy suffering from undisclosed serious injuries.
The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police arrested the 14-year-old suspect at the scene and charged the minor with first-degree-murder, and he is scheduled to appear by video next on March 8, 2019.
As a result of a publication ban issued by the Ontario Court of Justice regarding this incident, no further details surrounding this investigation will be released by the Barrie Police Service.
