24-year-old man facing a charge of Manslaughter in the death of a 5-month-old infant

Police found the five-month-old girl on February 3rd in Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, the infant died in hospital two days later.

It has been reported that the mother of the infant left her daughter in the care of a man she had recently met, as she was having trouble finding childcare while she was at work.

Steven Bernard, 24, is facing a charge of manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death . The cause of death has not been released at this time.

Peel Police Homicide team investigating after a 74-year-old woman was found dead in a home

Emergency crews were called to Rushton Crescent in Mississauga, on a medical call on February 12th at approximately 7:15am.

Police arrived to find a 74-year-old woman deceased. Police took a man into custody at the scene. Const. Akhil Mooken noted that investigators from Peel homicide and missing person’s bureau have taken carriage of the investigation .

Brian Peter Maksoud, shot with an arrow in London Ontario dies in hospital

London police and EMS responded to a report of an injured man who had been hit with an arrow at an address on Arbour Glen Crescent on February 5th at approximately 12:50am.

Police located the victim Brian Peter Maksoud, 46, of London, suffering from serious injuries. Maksoud was rushed to hospital where he underwent surgery to remove the arrow , but ultimately died of his injuries.

Man Shot and Killed in Toronto’s Sixth Homicide

A man was shot and killed outside of a nightclub at 366 Queen Street East near Parliament. The killing occurred around 2 am on Friday. No identity has been released.

This is the sixth homicide overall in Toronto and the fourth male homicide. In 2018 there were 96 homicides in the city and 63 in 2017.

Update February 9th
Toronto police have identified the victim as Jaunoi Christian, 24, of Brampton. Police are searching for a suspect who was seen fleeing the scene. He is described as black, 6’0″, mid 30s, with a medium build. He was wearing a blue and white toque, dark-coloured jacket and blue jeans.

Bloodvein RCMP investigating a double homicide. 16-year-old charged with manslaughter

Bloodvein RCMP responded to a report of two deceased males located at a residence in Bloodvein on January 30th at approximately 4:00am.

Police arrived to find a 22-year-old male and a 32-year-old male both deceased. The victim’s identities and cause of death has not been released at this time.

RCMP have arrested a 16-year-old male and he has been charged with 2 counts of manslaughter.
