Charges laid in the Brentwood Bay murder of Emily Caruana

Brentwood Bay police responded to the 7200-block of Meadowlark Lane on report of a disturbance on May 12th at 12:30am. Police arrived at the scene to find on person dead and two injured.

According to court documents, Alan Charles Chapman has been charged with the first-degree murder of Emily Caruana. Police have not released how Caruana died at this time. Two others were injured during the attack and remain in hospital.

Police Investigate Homicide in Montrose BC.

Trail and Greater District RCMP responded to a call for assistance at a residence on 9th Avenue in Montrose BC, on May 2nd at approximately 1:00am.

Police arrived to find a deceased adult female, and a man was arrested at the scene. Police said the victim and suspect were known to each other and there is no risk to the public.

Merritt RCMP investigating a suspicious death

Merritt RCMP responded to a report of a sudden death on May 9th at a home in the 2200-block of Blair Street.

Police arrived to find the deceased and a 55-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody. Police will not be releasing the identity of the deceased at this time.

RCMP investigating A Gilbert Plains Stabbing homicide

Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing at a home in Gilbert Plains, on May 4th at approximately 9:40pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a 36-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

RCMP have arrested 39-year-old David Christopher Genaille, and charged him with Second Degree Murder in relation to the homicide.

Quebec Provincial Police investigating the homicide of a man in Repentigny QC

QPP said the body of a man was found outside a home on Raymond Gaudreault Streetin Repentigny, Que, on May 8th at approximately 2:30am.

Sgt. Stéphane Tremblay  said the death is being investigated as a homicide, however the victim’s identity and cause of death have not been released.

Baljit Singh, 21, stabbed to death in Edmonton

Edmonton police and paramedics responded to a report of an injured man as a result of an altercation with a group of people on May 7th.

Police said Baljit Singh, 21, of Edmonton, was found on the ground of an apartment parking lot in the area of 122 Street and the Whitemud Freeway. Despite lifesaving attempts by police and paramedics, Singh was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police said Singh died from a stab wound.

Winnipeg Homicide #14 – Manslaughter charge laid in the death of Dylan Brian Hanchar

Winnipeg police responded to the report of a disturbance in an apartment building within the 1000 block of Taylor Avenue, on May 5th at approximately 3:40am.

Police arrived to find two men inside a suite. Dylan Brian Hanchar, a 24-year-old male of Winnipeg was suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The other man, Dustin Avrom Glow, a 24-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with manslaughter.

Toronto Homicide #24 – Two charged in the stabbing death of Brendon Bowler

Toronto police responded to report of a stabbing in the Livingston Road and Earswick Drive area on May 6th at 12:18 in the afternoon.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Brendon Bowler, 17, of Toronto suffering from life-threatening injuries from the stabbing. Bowler was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Emmett Carew, 18, and Cheddi Itwaroo, 20, of Toronto were both arrested and are each charged with Second Degree Murder .

Toronto Homicide #23 – Justin Kyle Ezeard shot to death inside of a commercial unit

Toronto police responded to a call for a shooting at 111 Millwick Drive, on May 3rd at approximately 8:55am.

Police arrived to find Justin Kyle Ezeard, 32, of Toronto, inside of a commercial unit, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

York Region police investigating a shooting death at a Whitchurch-Stouffville house party.

York Regional Police responded to a residence located at 6336 Bloomington Road East, on May 3rd at approximately 4:00am on report of a shooting.

Police arrived at the scene to find a male victim deceased. Police said the investigation has lead them to believe that there may have been a party that had taken place at the residence that was rented out for the night. Police then responded to a to a residence on Bethesda Road for a “suspicious person” at 4:30am. It has been reported that two men who had been knocking on doors looking for someone to call them a taxi.

On arrival, police located the two men hiding in bushes, both men were placed under arrest.. A gun was found near the suspects.

The victim has been identified as Rizwaan Abookbabar Wadee, 18, of Vaughan. YRP have issued a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Jahdea Paterson,18, who is wanted for 1st Degree Murder following shooting at a house party in Stouffville. Paterson should be considered armed and dangerous & anyone assisting him could face criminal charges. Call 866-876-5423 x7865
