Woodstock Police Service responded to an altercation at an apartment complex on Fyfe Avenue on November 29th at approximately 2:18am.

Police arrived to find 59-year-old John Russell Foster, suffering stab wounds near the front entrance of the building. The victim was rushed to London Health Sciences Centre Victoria Hospital where he died of his injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Woodstock Police Service arrested the victim’s 56-year-old Paul Gerard Fitzgerald in relation to the death. Police have not released what charges he may be facing at this time.
