Richmond RCMP responded to a report of shots heard in a park near the area of Moncton St at No.1 Rd on January 7th at approximately 8:30pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Anees Mohammed, 29, of Vancouver, suffering from gunshot wounds. Mohammed was rushed to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the investigation, alongside Richmond RCMP Serious Crime Unit (SCU) and the Richmond RCMP General Investigative Services.
