Mayerthorpe RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance and an assault in progress at a residence located in the area of 49 street and 51 avenue in Sangudo, Alberta on December 17th at 9:39pm.
Police and paramedics arrived at the home and located 65-year-old James Kenneth Gantz, suffering from serious injuries. Paramedics treated Gnatz on site, however, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Clayton Jackie Desjarlais, 34, of Sangudo was arrested at the scene, and on December 18th he was charged with:
- Second degree murder
- Failure to comply with release conditions
As this matter is now before the courts, no further information will be provided.
