A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Nolan Bird in relation to the March homicide of David Lapointe in North Battleford

Battlefords RCMP responded to police assistance at a residence on the 1600 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford on March 13, 2022 around 2:45 a.m.

Police officers arrived, and located 61-year-old David Lapointe from North Battleford deceased inside the residence. Based on preliminary investigation, his death is considered to be suspicious in nature. Investigators are looking to speak with anyone with information about his death.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes announced on October 31st that they have charged 34-year-old Nolan Bird from Saskatoon with one count, manslaughter.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest and Major Crimes investigators are working to locate him.

Nolan Bird is described as approximately 5’7″ and 170 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes, as well as tattoos on his neck and under one eye.

Nolan Bird may be in the Saskatoon, Battlefords or Edmonton area, but this can’t be confirmed.
