Police say officers were called to a home in the 200 block of Skyview Ranch Road N.E. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, to conduct a welfare check. While searching the residence, officers discovered evidence consistent with human remains.

An autopsy was later conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which determined that the death was a homicide.

At the time, police charged Michael Lee, 49, and Helen Lee, 50, with indignity to a dead body. Investigators have not said if those charges will be upgraded.

Investigators have identified the victim but are still working to notify the person’s next of kin. Police have not released further details as the investigation continues.
